I was born in Maungakiekie, Tamaki Makaurau Rau, Auckland and settled in Hawkes Bay 2012 where I ran my own clinic, Blossom Massage, for a couple of years in Napier Central.

I have long been curious to learn about holistic health and complementary therapies.

My interest in massage led me to initially investigate various short courses in massage, acupressure and shiatsu. I then trained in Reiki Level 1, in 2002, followed by Reiki Usui Method Level 2, in 2003, with Reiki master, Valee Lane.

After that I studied at the New Zealand College of Massage in Wellington, where I graduated with a Diploma in Health Science, Clinical Massage Therapy, in 2011.

Massage is a modality that offers a wide range of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments that can help people to move forward and let go of stress. It has helped me immensely over the years to bring my stress levels down and give me a greater awareness of my own body. Wherever you may be in your health journey massage can improve physical wellbeing in many aspects whether it’s easier breathing or feeling less knots in your shoulders.

My most recent training has been in the fundamentals of Myofascial Release.

I relished learning how deeply the fascial system interconnects with muscle tissue and the lymphatic system.

I also found a passion for Aromatherapy, which smells great and can uplift your spirits, leaving you feeling divine. After an aroma-serene treatment you can feel lighter on your feet and less burdened in your mind.

I am a fan of mindfulness, art, reading, walking in nature and learning to knit.

After starting a small family, I am just thrilled to be joining the excellent team at Serenity Massage Therapy.
